IDAHO IRRIGATION DISTRICT
496 E 14TH STREET
IDAHO FALLS, ID 83404
Dear Patrons, July, 14TH, 2021
Current conditions indicate that the Idaho Irrigation District may be out of water approximately September 1st unless consumption decreases or in-flows increase.
Due to the extreme potential for water shortages the Idaho Irrigation District Board are encouraging conservation with voluntary restrictions on diversions at this time.
Guidelines for restrictions include: Please only divert to live growing green crops. All mature wheat and barley crops should be turned off ASAP. No wasting water. Flood Irrigation reduced to 14 day schedules. Reduce lawn irrigation by 50%.
Our target is to reduce consumption by 50% at this time. If voluntary reductions and targets are not achieved, mandatory restrictions will be imposed.
Please contact your Ditch Rider, Manager- Richard Lockyer, and Directors of the District or the office for more information. Thank you for your cooperation. Water is a precious resource, let's all work together to benefit the resource. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Idaho Irrigation District 496 E 14th Street Idaho Falls, ID 83404 Office (208) 522-2356 / Shop (208) 357-3978
Dear Water Users: IN AN EMERGENCY CALL YOUR DITCHRIDER, Not the recorder. 2020 code-a-phone number is 357-3117 (Available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.)
PLEASE USE THIS NUMBER FOR WATER ORDERS OR WATER PROBLEMS
NO NEW HEADGATES OR PUMPS PUT INTO THE CANAL WITHOUT A PERMIT. PLEASE COME TO THE OFFICE AND FILL OUT A PERMIT FOR PERMISSION.
We need 48 HOURS NOTICE IN ADVANCE before water is to be turned on.
NO ORDER, NO WATER. Headgates will be locked until we receive orders on the code-aphone at the shop. Call the code-a-phone to order your water, not the ditch-rider, it needs recorded.
*Delinquent patrons are not eligible to receive water. Call the office if you are delinquent to get the right amount of penalty and interest you owe.
KEEP YOUR DITCHES CLEAN . We will cut down on the amount of water delivered to UNKEPT DITCHES. DO NOT “check”, the canals.
On multiple-use head gates and ditches, schedule out a Workable Schedule for everyone and please use it.
All pumps and headgates in the District have a number on them; please use the number and the canal name when ordering water along with your name and phone number. The Irrigation District mows the canal banks where there’s a road and we would appreciate it if you would not put your sprinkler pipes and equipment on the canal banks. Please call the office before doing any landscaping, digging or any kind of encroachment on the Canal Banks. We need a 20 foot easement on all canal banks. Bridges must have an approval by the Board of Directors. Any parcels broken into subdivision only have the original point of diversion for their water. The District will be doing water testing for GAP Certification. This is testing for e-coli & salmonella, which will be tested here at the office on the Idaho Canal 3 times per year on the 1st of June, July, & August. The results will be available to the water users. RICHARD LOCKYER – Manager 390-1211
